Our Ministries & Ministry Partners
The work of the church extends beyond worship on Sundays. Our congregation works hard to be the hands and feet of Christ each and every day. These are some of the ongoing ways in which we serve and continue in the work of strengthening our faith as well as some of the organizations we support or work with in the continuation of building the beloved community of Christ.

Westport Point UMC
Choir
At Westport Point UMC we have an incredible music ministry. Our Choir is led and accompanied by our incredible music director Kristine Wilbur. The choir rehearses on Sunday mornings at 8:45 am. All are welcome to join. If you are interested in learning more about our choir, please reach out, we'd be happy to have you.

Mobile Ministries
On the first Saturday of every month, the Westport Point UMC congregation partners with the St. Paul's UMC in New Bedford to deliver food, clothes, and hygiene products to individuals struggling with housing insecurity.
In the cold weather months we also leave bags with hats, scarves, and gloves taped to phone poles along Rt. 6 for anyone in the Dartmouth to Fall River area in the need of warm weather supplies.
Feed & Be Fed
On the first Sunday of every month we celebrate Holy Communion. While we are fed by Christ's table, we also take an offering of food to donate to the Westport Food Pantry. Several of our congregants also volunteer at the Westport Food Pantry throughout the week.

If you would like to support the Westport Food Pantry directly, you can reach their website here:

Concerts at the Point
Concerts at the Point is a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization presenting classical chamber music concerts in the fall and spring at the Westport Point Methodist Church. The audience experiences chamber music as the great composers intended – in an intimate space with rich, resonant sound.

Lay Servant Ministries
Throughout the year we offer various classes on preaching, prayer, United Methodist history & polity. and so many more. These classes are open to anyone to take and are an opportunity to dive deeper into faith while getting to know people from other UMC congregations.
You can register for Lay Servant courses being offered all throughout New England and online here:

Coastal Neighbors Network
Coastal Neighbors Network is a community of seniors organized into a virtual village. From Boston to Boise, people who want to stay in their own homes and live a safe, full and meaningful life are enjoying the benefits of the national village movement, the resources it delivers and the community it builds. Every Village shares the same core values and vision, but each one reflects the uniqueness of its own neighborhood.
